Fiber Optic Installation and Technical Training Project – Timor Leste In 2025, our company successfully executed a fiber optic installation and technical training project in Timor Leste. The project aimed to deploy reliable fiber optic infrastructure while strengthening the technical capabilities of local personnel. Scope of Work The project included:
- Route survey and technical planning
- Fiber optic cable pulling (aerial and duct installation)
- Pole installation and cable securing
- Fusion splicing and termination
- OTDR testing and network commissioning
- All activities were carried out in accordance with international telecommunication standards, ensuring quality, safety, and operational reliability. Technical Training Program A structured hands-on training program was conducted for local technicians, covering:
- Fundamentals of fiber optic systems - Proper cable handling and pulling techniques - Fusion splicing procedures - Fiber management and termination - Testing and troubleshooting using OTDR The training emphasized practical field experience to ensure participants could independently perform installation and maintenance tasks. Project Outcome The project was completed within the targeted timeline despite logistical and environmental challenges.
